
Report and Consent
Variations to Part 5 (Siting) of the Building Regulations 2018 are common when constructing new dwellings, particularly on irregular shaped allotments and in areas where Councils have chosen to vary the requirements of the zone by introducing a Schedule to the Zone.
These applications are made through the Building Departments of the respective Councils and as town planning consultants, we are well equipped to articulate how an application to vary the Building Regulations is consistent with the relevant Minister’s Guidelines as they often refer back to the Planning Scheme to consider Neighbourhood Character.
